One of my favourite variations comes from the English story ‘The Three Sillies’ which rounds off the, as you may have guessed from the title, very silly events of the tale by saying ‘and if they don’t live happily for ever after, that’s nothing to do with you or me’. Probably best as a coffee table book for the occasional pickup and journey into the land of the strange.

It might be more accurate to consider ‘Sermerssuaq’ as less of a fairy tale, and more of a description of a character whose spirit encapsulates the rest of the collection.
