The last couple of times that I was in the UK I stumbled upon some very interesting (gastro) pubs and restaurants. It is rich, deeply flavored and a tad sweet because of the caramelised onion in it…No need to say that this is a huge winner dinner!

Our finest pork sausage recipe with caramelised onion makes this a lovely sweet flavoured sausage. Another one that eats well hot or cold. 18 Sausages per kg or 9 to the lb.Twelve sausages can provide servings for up to 6 adults (2 per person); all depends on how big are the sausages and how hungry are the adults. Place the sausages into the sauce, pre-cut side down and cook in the preheated oven to 200C/ fan for 30 - 35 minutes.After approximately 15 minutes, turn the sausages - pre-cut side up. Adding stout beer like Guinness is a fantastic addition to the gravy! Stout beers do have a slightly bitter taste so if you're adding it to the gravy, also add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to balance out the flavors. You can also skip the Guinness entirely.
